Posted September 5, 2008 14:34:00

The Adelaide Crows are to sign Irish Gaelic footballer Brian Donnelly as a rookie for next season.

Donnelly, 20, spent three weeks in Adelaide in July and will return in late October to start pre-season preparations.

Crows' football operations manager John Reid says Donnelly is 193 centimetres tall and impressed the club with his natural talent and desire to learn the Australian game.
