Sydney Swans coach Paul Roos has been named Father of the Year (AAP).

Sydney Swans coach Paul Roos has been named the Australian Father of the Year at an awards ceremony in Sydney.

Mr Roos, a father of two, was nominated by his family, friends and the community.

The Australian Father's Day council says he has made a significant contribution to the local sporting community and his children's education.
