About 70 Firepower shareholders have been told it is unlikely they will see the tens of millions of dollars they have invested in the fuel technology company, unless they work together.

The court appointed liquidator for Firepower Operations, Bryan Hughes is chairing an informal meeting of shareholders in Perth.

He said about 12-hundred shareholders have invested up to $100 million in Firepower.

The group, which once sponsored high profile sporting stars and the Western Force Rugby team, is being investigated by ASIC and administrators have an application before the courts to wind up the company.
