Sartor offers West Dapto land release assurance

Posted September 4, 2008 10:38:00

New South Wales Planning Minister Frank Sartor says the West Dapto land release will still go ahead, despite delays.

Mr Sartor says the release of homes for 60,000 people may have been delayed by the downturn in the housing market and additional checks by Wollongong council administrators.

He says the administrators are currently checking the levies and infrastructure sequencing, with the work to be completed in the next few months.

"West Dapto will happen, they've just asked for opportunity to review it as responsible administrators would to make sure they're comfortable with the numbers, they're comfortable with the levies, they're comfortable with the infrastructure, the sequencing and the works happening," he said.
