Molotov cocktail thrown into Sydney house

Posted August 30, 2008 17:00:00

A 67-year-old Sydney man has escaped with minor cuts after a molotov cocktail was thrown through a window of his house last night.

Police say the man was in the bedroom of his home at Wakeley in Sydney's south-west, when the petrol bomb shattered the window shortly before 11.00pm AEST.

They say he was covered in petrol and glass but the fuel failed to ignite.

Police are asking for witnesses to come forward.
