Party-goers attack family with bats, bottles

Posted August 30, 2008 15:35:00

Police say a family in Sydney's south west were attacked by several men after complaining about a loud party.

Police say the assault happened in the early hours of this morning after a woman visited a neighbouring home in Mount Annan to complain about the noise from a party.

The 43-year-old woman went back home but a few minutes later several men showed up at her house and confronted her, her husband and their two teenage sons.

A fight broke out and the men produced a cricket bat and bottles and began attacking the family.

The woman's husband suffered a broken wrist and lacerations and the sons received cuts and bruises.

Police say the attackers then ran from the scene.

The victims were taken to Campbelltown Hospital for treatment.
