QR cancels $30,000 Riverfire function

Queensland Rail has cancelled a function planned for tonight's Riverfire celebrations in Brisbane.

The function at a restaurant on the Brisbane River was to reportedly cost taxpayers $30,000.

About 60 QR executives and guests were expected to attend the event.
