Carlton coach Brett Ratten says he expects a unique atmosphere at Docklands Stadium as two players attempt to reach 100 AFL goals for the 2008 season.

Hawthorn's Lance Franklin starts tonight on 98 majors while Carlton's Brendan Fevola is six goals back on 92.

No player has kicked 100 goals in the regular season since Sydney's Tony Lockett in 1998.

Ratten says he would love to see both players reach the famous landmark in the same match.

"I think the atmosphere will be electric, and I think (there'll be) anticipation every time these two players go for the ball," he said.

"Both teams will want (it), the opposition supporters will want them to mark it and kick the goal because I think it would be fantastic for footy to see it happen first time ever maybe two players kicking 100 goals."
