A Victorian man is facing drug charges after about 550 ecstasy tablets were allegedly found in his car.

Police arrested the 35-year-old man from Lara following a seven-week operation targeting cocaine, ecstasy and amphetamine distribution.

Police allegedly found the tablets hidden in the roof of the man's car.

Three premises at Lara and Geelong have also been searched and police have seized a motorbike.

The man has been charged with trafficking ecstasy, amphetamine and cocaine and a woman in her 30s has also been charged with drug trafficking.
