Jury retires in toilet murder trial

Posted August 28, 2008 15:09:00

A jury has retired to consider whether a teenager murdered a mildly autistic man in a public toilet.

Gerard Fleming, 35, died after being stabbed twice in a toilet block at Narrabeen, in Sydney's northern beaches, in 2007.

A teenager, who was 16 at the time, has pleaded not guilty to the murder.

The jury heard the teenager told a friend that the victim tried to rape him.
