Brisbane scrap metal fire put out

Firefighters have extinguished a blaze that has been burning for days at Rocklea on Brisbane's southside.

Seven firefighting crews and three aerial appliances have been battling the blaze since lunchtime on Tuesday.

Scientific officers are continuing to test air quality to ensure the public's safety.

Residents are advised to close their doors and windows and avoid travelling through the area.
