Housing survey highlights Boyne Is growth

A national housing survey has named a central Queensland community in the top 40 in terms of growth in the markets for units.

The RP Data figures show Boyne Island, near Gladstone, came in at number 37 in terms of price growth.

The average unit price at Boyne Island was $325,000, up more than 34 per cent in 12 months.

Weekly rents averaged $280.

The other growth areas in Queensland were in Cairns, Ayr and around Brisbane.
