Ratten anticipates Fev-Buddy shoot-out

Posted August 28, 2008 09:13:00

Carlton coach Brett Ratten says he is looking forward to Saturday night's clash with Hawthorn where history could be made by Brendan Fevola and Lance Franklin.

Hawks forward Franklin needs two goals to make it 100 for the season, while Blues forward Fevola needs eight.

It could be the first time two players achieve the milestone in the same game, and Carlton coach Brett Ratten says it would be great to see.

"I think it'd be great for our supporters and just footy supporters in general," he said.

"Who knows if it does happen, but to have this scenario played out, let alone in the same round but at the same venue that two players can achieve the 100 goals I think it's just great for footy."

"We could play six blokes behind the ball and have this dull affair, but at the end of the day I think it would be fantastic... we haven't had a 100 goal kicker since 2000 I think, that's about right."
