Wallabies forward Rocky Elsom will miss this weekend's Tri Nations rugby union game against South Africa after being suspended for one match for dangerous line-out play.

Elsom was found guilty of dragging down Springboks forward Victor Matfield.

South African prop CJ van der Linde was suspended for four weeks after being found guilty of dangerous play in a ruck.

Van der Linde head-butted Australian half-back Sam Cordingly during last week's game in Durban.
