Man facing verdict over bushfire arson

A judge has begun summing up the trial of a man accused of deliberately lighting 31 bushfires on the New South Wales central coast.

Murray James Toomey, 43, is accused of setting fire to land at Peats Ridge, Calga and Moonie Moonie and Mangrove creeks in early October 2006.

The jury is expected to begin deliberating on its verdict this afternoon.
