Patients return to hospital after chemical scare

Posted August 20, 2008 20:05:00

Patients have been allowed to return to a hospital in southern New South Wales after reports of a chemical spill sparked an evacuation.

The Fire Brigade says a smell was first noticed in the Tumut District Hospital and 19 patients were moved out of the building.

Gas detectors found no readings and it is unknown where the smell had been coming from.
