Logan City receives Gold Coast water

Posted July 21, 2008 09:03:00

The Gold Coast City Council has started supplying 20 million litres of water a day to Logan City in south-east Queensland.

The arrangement is part of the Queensland Government's Water Amendment Regulation.

The chairwoman of council's water management committee, Councillor Daphne McDonald, says Logan City is being serviced via the Molendinar water treatment plant.

Council has upgraded pumping stations and installed new pipelines and pumps to align the treatment processes of the Wivenhoe and Hinze Dams.
