Watson shines ahead of one-day series

Australia's Shane Watson notched up 95 runs to set-up a crushing 211-run victory over the University of the West Indies' Vice Chancellor's XI in Barbados.
Watson struck six 4s and four 6s from 85 balls to set-up the victory in the one-day limited overs match, a warm-up for the imminent one-day international series against the West Indies.
Watson is seeking to resume his international career, after injury sidelined him for most of the last year, and he gave West Indies early signs that he could be a difficult customer.
He was one of four batsmen that passed 50 in the innings, David Hussey made 55, stand-in captain Michael Clarke retired out on 53, and Mike Hussey notched up a 50.
Australia's bowlers then made sure the visitors had an early night, when they dismissed the Vice Chancellor's XI for 126 in 33.1 overs.
Left-arm medium-fast bowler Nathan Bracken was the pick of the Aussie bowlers with 3 for 25 from eight overs.
David Hussey took 2 for 4 from 2.1 overs and Mitchell Johnson collected 2 for 24 from five overs.
West Indies wicket-keeper Denesh Ramdin led the way with the bat for the Vice Chancellor's XI with 43, but no other batsman made more than 15.
Australia will take on the West Indies in a five-match one-day series on Tuesday in St. Vincent.
