Sample Technology Studies Log Book - Year 10
Week 1:
Mr Farrugia from ACE Mowers showed us how a mower works and left us a checklist of things to look for when a mower doesn't work properly.
Week 2:
Our group was given an old Victa mower today and were allowed $40 for parts.
Week 3:
We thought the problem could be either a fuel block or the spark plug. We checked the fuel lines first and they were alright, but there was a block in the carburettor which we have to clear.
Week 6:
The mower still doesn't work, so we are going to try a new spark plug next week. I started my report on how we solved our problems and managed our budget...
Week 9:
The mower is working well, we now need to lubricate, clean and repaint it. We used the grinder in the metalwork room to sharpen the blades.
Week 10:
I have been accepted to do Work Experience at ACE Mowers. I hope it will help me to get an apprenticeship as a mechanic so I can leave school next year.
