Andrew Forrest, founder and Chief Executive of Fortescue Metals is embarking on a tour of the Kimberley in Western Australia, taking Opposition Leader Malcolm Turnbull with him. Forrest plans to brief the Opposition Leader on his industry plan to boost aboriginal employment by 50,000 jobs.

It seems not everyone involved in the Australian horticultural industry is relying on imported labour to pick this season's crops. In far north Queensland a community based project has been placing local people on farms to pick and pack produce for years. Not only has it helped keep the local industries afloat, it has turned around the lives of long-term unemployed Aboriginal people.
