Genelle Weule

Genelle was a qualified occupational therapist before doing a career u-turn and becoming a journalist in print and online media, where she has now worked for nearly ten years. She has worked for a variety of media organisations, but keeps drifting back to health.

In 2007 she launched ABC Health & Wellbeing. The site has since won NetGuide Australia's best health and fitness website in 2007 and was a finalist at the 2007 Australian Interactive Media Industry Awards in the health, science and environment category.

Before joining ABC Health & Wellbeing Genelle produced Catapult, ABC's website for young entrepreneurs.

In 2004, along with working as the e-health editor at Medical Observer, she launched the publication's website, which won a Bell Publishing Award for best new website for that year.

She has also worked on publications such as CHOICE and The Eye.

She has a Masters of Arts (journalism) and a Bachelor of Applied Science (occupational therapy)

Her personal goal is to put more 'life' into 'work/life balance'.
