Highlights - March 19

Again, Thorpey's absence leaves a gaping hole on the pool deck tonight. This time South African speedsters Roland Schoeman and Ryk Neethling will be hot favourites for the 100m freestyle, which had been Thorpe's big challenge of the Games before his withdrawal through illness.

Australia is a long shot for the medals in either of today's marathon events, with England's Paula Radcliffe looking to make up for her Athens disappointment in the women's race.
