Entourage picked up for sixth season
HBO has renewed its Hollywood-hipster comedy Entourage, a month after the Emmy-winning series began its fifth season in the US.
Production on the sixth season will begin in early 2009, with the launch slated for mid-year.
The current season got off to a good start with co-star Jeremy Piven last month winning his third consecutive Emmy for playing a slimy talent agent.
Entourage joins HBO's slate of 2009 series that includes the returning shows Big Love, Flight Of The Conchords, In Treatment and True Blood, as well as new drama The Number One Ladies Detective Agency.
